Anti-Violence Advocacy Project of the St. Louis Region (AVAP): AVAP’s
mission is to provide education and advocacy that addresses intimate
and sociopolitical violence and oppression based on sexual orientation
and gender identity. The AVAP’s phone line provides callers
with referrals to service providers who are welcoming to the LGBTQ
community. Education and training on intimate partner violence,
sexual violence and hate crimes is available to the community and to
area service providers.
