Association held their first annual Drag Show to benefit the Center.
Both Interim Executive Director, Muriel Lynn
Jones, and Co-Finance Director, LaShana Lewis attended the event, which
starred host Siren, in the Campus' Gargoyle theatre. For more

The 3rd National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Health Summit
Philadelphia, PA
March 14-18, 2007
The annual summit will bring together over five hundred health care
professionals, academics, activists, community members, and their
allies to share cutting-edge information and develop strategies to
better serve the health and wellness of the nation’s LGBTI
communities. This year’s theme, Beyond Boundaries: A Blueprint for LGBTI Healthcare Equality,
is a call to all LGBTI communities across the country to come together
to develop a long-term strategic plan for LGBTI health and wellness.
This will be the Center's first year attending the summit and we
look forward to the plethora of information we will gain and share with
our St. Louis LGBTA community. For more information, visit the

The Center was ecstatic to join
with Olympus Theatre and The Shangri-La Diner to have dinner and a
show! The Shangri-La Diner offered 10% off the meal price for
those attending the show that night. Olympus Theatre donated $2
of every ticket sold that night to the Center as well as any of the
profits we received from refreshments sales. Thanks to Thomas

The 6th Annual Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Convention

St. Louis' annual gathering that brings together various Gay
Straight Alliance (GSA) high school organizations within the
metropolitan St. Louis area. A GSA organization consists of
lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender high school students and their
straight allies. The following is copied from the GSA

year the Gay Straight Alliance Convention for the Saint Louis Area will
be held at Affton High School in South County. Anyone and everyone is
invited. Even if your school doesn't have a GSA you can still come to
learn about Gay rights and have a fun time. We will
have workshops, free t-shirts, speakers, free information, free
food, and a mixer at the end of the night to finish off such a fun

National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF)
Creating Change Conference 2007

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's
annual conference for LGBTQA activists and organizations. Last
year's Creating Change featured an all-day Community Center
pre-Conference Institute filled with an abundance of information on how
LGBT Centers can best service the community. It continued with a
diverse series of workshops; suites which focused on the youth, People
of Color, and Elder community; and powerful plenary speakers. The
event ended with an empowering speech from the blunt yet
straightforward founder of SisterSong, Loretta Ross. For more
